I need good horror/mystery/suspense books?

I am in desperate need of a good book right now I like horror/mystery/suspense.

Please recommend some to me, do not say Stephen King or Lois Duncan (if you would count her)

I would consider recommending you Laurel K. Hamillton's "Anita Blake : Vampire Hunter" books, but they are *really* aimed at over 18's, and the series pretty much is ruined after book 9 {there are currently 16 books}.

That is a really good book, i read it in 5 hours. and about 30 chapters. Would reccommend it to anyone!! :)
