I wish you had more specifics in your question. Are you looking for something store bought? If so... Leapster products are pretty good. I taught for 6 years prior to having children. My 4 year old is reading 7th grade words. If you need a good DVD, the Letter Factory is really great by Leapster. You can get these products at Walmart or ToysRUS. I only wish I recieved a kick back every time I have recommended them. :-) BUT... the time you invest in the learning process is key. Catering to where you child is academically is the best thing you can do to help them.

If you have been to the stores and can't find what you are looking for try an Education store. They have everything!

Cooking is a great way of learning. i find that my young 4 year old cousin loves to cook cakes with me.

something I play with my four year old son is K'net there is how to book that came with his set. he pick out what he wants to make. I'll count how many pieces are need and ask him to find that many of that kind, sometimes I'll ask how many more do you need? we play with ABC cookies and he can eat as many as can find. like I'll say find an A or a B. we play shop keeper where we buys things with play money. we do story time when I read him a book and then he pick out book to "read" to me. when we shop I ask if he can find what ever shape. You can make anything into a learning game. my son seem to be open to learning if does not that he's being taught.

Just use a regular deck of cards and play games like concentration or crazy eights or even rummy (let him collect three of kind and four of a kind).  Get those Pre-K workbooks (at Walmart) and let him do them.  Go to the library and start easy reader books with him.  All of these ideas suggested are either free or very inexpensive.  Good luck!!

need more specifics.....looking for premade, store made games....or for ones you can make for and with your child......lots of both on the market

also no information on how much your child already knows and how much work you want to put into this project.

some of the best places to look or ask about this topic are your childs current preschool classroom, your local kindergarten classrooms, your local library (for books on how to make games, and on how to buy games or other learning materials) all of the educational material magazines have pages and pages of both games and books on how to make them

some of my favorites in use for many years in my classrooms are various forms of dominos(can be very very easy all the way to super difficult to match--depending on age and level of learning) and what are called "file folder games" all the parts/gameboards/and directions are all contained in a file folder

Baby Einstein DVD's,books,and audio CD's or Tapes are made for children ages 6 months to 5 years. They have everything from musical scores to foreign languages and numbers.

Talking Hands, a dvd, teaches kids how to used ASL (American Sign Language) in their daily schedules, like more milk, juice, ball,happy, things like that, to help express themselves.

Leapster learning pad, has a talking fold out book that shows them how to read and recognize letters and words associated with pictures.

Fisher Price has a line of toys mass marketed by Wal-Mart, that improve hand eye coordination,number and word association,memory, and kinetic pinser skills.( Using their hands to learn)

V-Smile Learning Console, is like a video game, but teaches vocabulary,math,history,numbers,word association, kinetic skills,auditory and visual memory, and has cool character oriented games like, Dora the Explorer, or Spongebob, and even Thomas the train. Radioshack has every game possible for the V-Smile, and you can also get them at Wal-Mart.

V-Tech has a learning lap-top for kids, that teaches counting in english and spanish,Letters,Colors, Word Association, and Story telling and memory questions. They come in Orange and White.

Diego( from Nick JR) has a talking doll out that is like 14.99, that sings phrases,animals and numbers in english and spanish, and he like, totally dances!!!
