Question:

I need green vegetable ideas...???

I enjoy broccoli, but need more ideas.

Maybe even some recipes or salad ideas...

  1. Visit the asian food store, they have some insanely good greens that you don't get at the supermarket.

    Kang kong (water spinach) - really yummy with water chestnuts and chilli flakes.

    Morning glory - fantastic braised in a oyster-style sauce

    Garlic shoots (yes, they are the green bits cut off a garlic bulb! They are about 20cm long and very mild tasting) - steam/grill. My fam eats them when they have roast instead of green beans.


  2. Put a bunch of veggies on a cookie sheet and cook them in the oven or roast them over a fire until they caramelize. They taste delicious that way, especially carrots.

  3. Yummy greens. I love the green.

    Mixed green and a bit of olive oil and salt. Cook until soft.

    A bit of sesame oil and eat...

  4. 7 layer salad in pretty bowl!

    1/2 head lettuce, shredded

    1/2 head of leafy green lettuce shredded

    1/2 c. chopped onions

    2 c. miracle whip

    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

    7 boiled eggs

    1/2 c. chopped celery

    2 boxes frozen peas

    3 tbsp. sugar

    sliced ham or turkey or chicken breaset even roast beef

    Jar of bacon bits

    Layer lettuce, celery, onions, peas, then spread salad dressing on top of peas, then sprinkle sugar over salad dressing, meat, then add cheese, bacon bits and top with sliced boiled eggs.
