I need hairstyle help?

Okay, my hair didn't turn out the way I wanted it to be. I brought a picture in

And I wanted my bangs to be like that and my hair to be like thaat. I have an oval shaped face and my bangs ended up being so short the lady said she could do it, why did she do it not the way that those bangs are supposed to be? Or does it have to grow out to look like that.

Is her hair just one length or v-shape cut or what? Cause I asked for a v-cut& long layers but it didnt end up looking like that, cause i thought she had a vcut. is her hair all one length?
