Question:

I need hamster help?

I have two dwarf hamsters. The store said that they were both girls. I know one of them is a girl because she had babies. She breeded at the pet store. I was thinking my other one is also pregnant. But I'm starting to have doubts. I tried finding out if it was a girl or a boy. I checked that its holes aren't as close together like the females. It also doesn't have nipples like the female. Is it a male? I'm not sure, though. Any help? Also its butt is a little bit larger than the females.

  1. Separate the one that didn;t give birth immediately as it could be male.  Take it to the vet and ask the vet to s*x it.  If it is male then keep it apart maybe once the babies are sexed put the males in with him for company.  If she is female then put him back.  Get the babies sexed by a vet once they are weaned.

  2. Does it's back end look a little larger than the female? If so then it is a male, the large lumps on his back end are his testicles.

  3. its a male... it might have gotten the other one preggy.....

  4. I think its a male defo.

The up side is you will never run out of hamsters.

  5. It's defentily a male.

  6. It is definitely a male. He will have a larger, narrower butt than the female and no nipples. The gap between a males holes is larger than a females and will have fur in it. If you do not want your hamster to get pregnant remove him from the cage immediately.
