  1. Try it again, but first do some cleanup.  Make sure it is gone from add or remove programs.  Reboot.  Delete folder Yahoo! Music Jukebox  (under \Program Files\Yahoo!).  Upgrade Windows Media Player (WMP) to WMP 11.  Run Microsoft One Care cleanup scan:

    Download/install YMJ from downloads.yahoo.com

I would have to go along with Sniff, there is still some stuff left around, maybe the folders under Application Data or maybe the digital rights folder for the OS is screwed up.

I don't know if I'm on/off track, but it couldn't hurt to try:

  2. So may i ask what version WMP you have?  ....  if you have the latest one it should be the beta version .. if you have that version and it still wont open , you have missed something, or you have a corrupt file, i know it is frustrating, but, your answer may be below in those links.

here are some helpful links you are not the only one with that particular problem.

    http://mb.music.yahoo.com/music/Support/...

The link yahoo gives in their forum to fix your problem and yes mr cat is correct when he says ur DR folder is prob screwed>

    http://yme.music.yahoo.com/arthur_111/co...

Your fatal error is telling you something is not up2date on your machine  ( usually windows) to cope with the installation..  Mr cat's advice is correct ... but i would advise going back to step 1 before you update ..

You are trying to install over an error ...  fix the error 1st, it is usually the fact that you have not updated your WMP, or in your case mayb a minor update prob elsewhere ...

delete  YMJB  from add and remove programmes.

then do a search and delete everything related to YMJB ...

you do not want one fragment of the error code left on your machine ..

Clean up after yourself > http://www.freecreed.com/speed.html

Then go and do ALL your windows updates, if the Upgrade for Windows Media Player (WMP) to WMP 11, is not there , search microsoft and get the latest version

Once you have done all your windows updates then go back and download YMJB.

Yahoo updates often, you must update as well, other wise you machine will not cope

  3. Is this over a blue screen? If it is you may not have enough memory or your memory is corrupt.
