I need help, Virus/Spyware Problem!?!?

Okay, well i had a virus that changed my background.. i fixed that part but I am unable to open internet explorer, my computer or any folders.. I always get "Runtime error. Program: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications suppor team for more information."

When i try to download programs to help me.. I cant complete the set-up because an error always occurs.

I NEED HELP, i can only use firefox.

Ps: How do i change my clock at the bottom right corner to a 12 hour clock instead of a 24 hour clock.

Generally viruses can do some nasty things like changing the background.  You might want to double check that it is fixed properly.  The link below contains a lot of different links to reversing effects of viruses.  Checkout the desktop change:

After that with the runtime errors it would be best if you did a full removal on the computer.  Follow this guide to completely clean out the computer:

As for changing the clock in the bottom right.

1. Click "My Computer"

2. Open the Control Panel

3. Select Time Options

3a. Classic View: Open Reginal and Language Options.

3b. Category View: Date, Time, Language and Regional Options.

4. Click "Change the format of numbers, dates, and times".

5. Select the "Regional Options" tab.

6. Next to the box that shows your selected language click "Customize".

7. Click the "Time" tab.

8. In the "Time Format" box enter:

8a. Standard Format: "h:mm:ss:tt"

8b. Military Format: "HH:mm:ss"

The virus may have corrupted yoor internet explorer. You may need to re-install.

After re-install internet explorer. Install spybot, update, scan, remove spyware and immunise your system.

Try and run a malicious software removal tool that can be found on microsoft.com. This should remove the malicious software that has infected your computer you can remove it manually. Download spyhunter and run it. It will allow you to scan your computer but will ask you to pay to remove the software for you. Don't pay for anything while your computer is infected because a hacker could steal your credit card so instead run the scan and find where the virus is. Open regedit.exe by entering "regedit.exe" into the run window and find the virus' files and delete them manually. Hope it helps because I know from personal experience that computer virus' are the worst.
