i'm pretty tall, 5'10, and i still can't seem to 3 step. i have a long stride and i'm athletic (i'm on varsity basketball and volleyball for my 3rd year and track for my 4th) but for some reason i still don;'t three step. if i practice the whole time on it i can get it for like the first four, but i can only do that like once a week, if that.

also if i run next to the hurdles i easly have three steps between them, with an extra foot too (because i'm not going over)

everyone else i know my height can do it easy... its natural

and four stepping feels VERY unnatural to me but idk why i still can't 3 step

PLEASE HELP

  1. You are too timid. Attack the hurdle with recklessness. no reason why you cant do it

  2. how's your flat 100 speed?  13, 14 or 15 seconds?  how do you run in between the hurdles?  are you running heel~toe or flat footed?  are actually running in between the hurdles or are you "loping"??? . . . the easier way to learn how to 3 step is to move the SECOND hurdle closer by the length of the bottom support of the the hurdle . . . when learning to 3 step, you must get your knees up and run on the balls of your feet and drive your arms ~ it's important to run and not LOPE in between . . .  loping is significantly slower than running and a loping stride is actually shorter than a running stride . . . once you feel comfy with 3 stepping the 2nd hurdle, move on to the 3rd . . . just remember that the 3rd hurdle must be moved up 2 lengths of the bottom support of the hurdle . . . good form is key to being able to 3 step and for someone your height, there is NO NEED TO LEAN OVER THE HURDLE  . . . just run over them and you need to be aggressive and attack the hurdle . . . good luck and feel free to contact me for further help
