  1. Hope this helps:

How do I know where to properly place my group?

Browse or search through the Yahoo! Groups directory to find the appropriate category. Look for categories that list similar groups or are specifically devoted to your subject.

Note: Adult-oriented groups must be placed in the "Adult" category ("Romance & Relationships > Adult" or other sub-category with the word "adult" in it).

Our team of category editors will review your selection and might change the location of your group. Your group will be listed in the Yahoo! Groups directory within a few days.

  2. 1)  If you are the group owner, you can use this Yahoo Groups Help form: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

In #7, use the drop down arrow and select Other. Type in "My group should not have been changed to Adult Category" or something like that.

In #8, be consistent when asking Yahoo to change it back to the original category. Keep it simple and straight to the point with facts on why it should not be categorized as adult. Explain exactly what your group's content is. When all information is completed, make sure to click "Send" at the very bottom of page.

If you don't get a reply from a real live person in a day or two, just keep replying to the email they send you until you get someone's attention. (It's important to reply to same emails since their replys are coded with reference numbers for staff reference.)

    2)  You can prevent p**n messages from being posted on your group by doing this:

    Sign in to your group.

Click on Management located on left side of screen.

In the Group Settings area, click on Messages.

Click on Edit located to the right of Posting and Archives.

In the Moderation column, select "Moderated".

Scroll down to bottom of page and click on "Save Changes".

    3)  You can delete the p**n messages already posted on your group.  Open the p**n messages one by one.  On the left side right above the message, click on "Delete".

  3. there is a glitch causing this, seemingly for no reasons. yahoo is the only one who can change it out- send in this form, include the category it should be in. yahoo more than likely will not reply other than maybe an auto reply- there is no need to keep sending in this form and flooding yahoo over the same issue either unless within 24 hrs it wasn't reset.

yahoo resets them within 24 hrs, generally you'll go to your group and it'll be back where it belongs. keep the link handy- some groups are experiencing this adult category change more than once.
