Back in May I was finally having problems with Yasmin having been on it for 3 years. It made me sick in my stomach, and I was bleeding for 2 weeks straight on it, so I needed a change. My gyno switched me to Loestrin 24 fe promising me that I wouldn't breakthrough bleed or be sick. I've been on it for 4 months, and 4 months later...well I'm sick and tired of bleeding a week before my period, I get ''ovulation pains'' in my left side when I should be ovulating, I sometimes don't get a period at all!! (I'm not pregnant!) my s*x drive has had a super decline, It's so frustrating! I just feel like the pill isn't working out for me. Do you think I should keep at loestrin and give it another month, or call her and get it switched? I've been having weird heart palpitations ever since starting my new pill, (i'm assuming it's pill related since I'm just noticing it now, and my dr didn't seem worried about it) I'm just so darn tired of switching my pill all the time because the pill isn't working right for me! And those first few months of new pill are h**l lol. I don't really want a baby right now, but if it happens I'd be fine with it. Anyone else having problems like this, or experience the same thing? Or any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks in advance.

  1. I take Ortho-Tricyclen Lo, and its the only thing I have been able to take, everything else gave me bad side effects or breakthrough bleeding.  Maybe you should try that?

  2. if yuo aren't having s*x. why be on bc?

    hhh

  3. Same as pp, I am on Ortho TriCycline low and it's the only one i've found that doesn't make me sick and doesn't kill my s*x drive.  maybe give it a try?  I have friends who have the nuva ring and absolutely love it, but since the pill I"m on is working for me I haven't tried it myself.

  4. you didnt say how old you were. when ever you have a reaction to a  perscrition you should always stop taking it. if your not happy with your regulR DOCTOR GET A SECOND OPPION/ seriously. there aare so many birth control medicines out there . the doc needs to find you the right one    good luck hun

  5. I tried the patch and it was ok. It would slip off usually when I had it on my butt but still it was only a once a week patch, instead of having to remember every day at the same time.

I tried the ring and it was good. This is one that you insert for three weeks at a time. This is best especially for summer because the patches were noticable on the tiny bikinis I used to be able to wear. Plus 3 weeks at a time and as long as it is in you are doing it right.

I am not on Mirena. I am totally lazy and this IUD is just like set it and forget it and it is the next best thing to sterilization. Plus it is good for 5 years and is extremely cost effective. I think full price without any insurance pick up is like $600. For 5 years that breaks down to approximately $10 per month since the ring was costing me $20/month and my insurance was willing to pick up 80% i had to do it. It may even reduce periods or take it away completely. Although, mirena is only recommended for women who are in a stable, mutually monogamous sexual relationship. STDs will be trouble. Feel free to look up more information at the provided link. Oh and it recommends having at least one child but I didn't have a child they just think it may hurt  more when inserted but it seriously was not that bad.

  6. there is a depo shot i think you get every 3 months. dont know much about it. i was on lo orval pilll and had no problems. i have mirena now, good birth control, has some side effects (possible) but give it 6 months. hope i helped some

  7. condoms.  sometimes The Pill isn't for everyone.  talk to your doctor.

when i was on The Pill, my doctor told me to stick with it for 5 months, to give it some time.  I didn't have any problems with Ortho, so i never needed to switch, but my friend had a lot of problems with her Pills.

  8. The first thing you need to do is figure out why your s*x drive is low and try to help get it back.  I was in your situation and it's not fun without being horny and feeling in the mood when needed.  I also felt like my orgasms (if I would even get one) were really weak.  Probably because of my s*x drive.

However, I tried exercising and dieting but nothing seemed to be working.  I thought I was screwed.  I then found something just as amazing as the vibrator.

My friend at work told me about this stuff she took to raise her s*x drive.  It was a natural herbal supplement and was I lucky to of found it.  Theres no side effects and the s*x drive is just tremendous along with orgasms that are blasting.  The stuff is called Hersolution pills.  At the time I saved money on them at herenhancement.com

What I did was tried out for 3 months and that was really it.  I found taking them every other day or so was the best to stretch it out. After the months were up, I was back to normal with a beating s*x drive and my o****m strength in increased so much.

Well good luck and I hope this helps.

  9. you  could try

    • Depo-Provera or Lunelle injection

    • Diaphragm

    • NuvaRing

    • Ortho Evra patch

i left you a link to a birth controll website

  10. We use condoms.  I used to be a the pill, then switched to the shot (depo) and they all made me crazy and took away my desire to even want s*x.

Yeah, it's nicer without condoms, but my husband doesn't mind too much.  He'd rather wear them and have me in the mood, then not and have me never in the mood, you know?

One thing we have been doing too is charting my cycle.  I've been using mymonthlycycles.com and tracking my periods and fertile/infertile days.  My husband and I have s*x without protection on days I'm "safe."  Yeah, it's not 100%, but it hasn't failed us yet.  I think a lot of it is getting to know my body.  When we were trying for a baby, I did the charting to GET pregnant, and now I use it for the opposite reasons and throughout this whole process I've really gotten to know my body and my cycle and can tell which days I'm fertile or not.  It's pretty cool!

  11. i'm having those problems too. especially the breakthrough bleeding at one time i was on my period for a whole month and a half. i'm going to go to my doctor sometime next week because low and behold i'm on my period now when i'm not supposed to be and see if i can try an IUD or a nuva ring. something that i don't have to take everyday and that i wont have breakthrough bleeding.

    hope i helped hun!

    it sucks i know.

  12. Personally, I take Depo-Provera

It's an injection every 3 months.

Its easy, just a quick shot and your covered

and I like it because then I do not have a period

    and well I hate that!

  13. I have never used the Pill since being on birth control. I've used Othro Evra since I was in high school and just recently switched to the Ring. Othro Evra worked really well for me and so far, the Ring is working too. I used Ortho Evra (aka the Patch) for almost 7yrs and never had a problem. Talk to your doctor about other options.
