but......

am i fat??

i am about 5'3 and i weigh 107 pounds.

im turning 14 tooooooo.

its not like im sooooo fat, but i've got extra fat in my thighs and the side of my stomach or hips (muffin tops).

not soooo bad, but i was wondering.

please help, i need advice.

  1. Well your 14 and thats an age where i see alot of girls that have those big hips. But my sister grew out of that and shes 16.. so just give it time and working out will help quite a bit! Just do like 20 or 30 situps a day or watever your comfortable with!! Just make it a daily routine!! It will help!


  2. This is NOT fat. My daughter is 14 and 5'2" and she weighs 114 lbs when she is healthy. She is a recovering anorexic and at 107 she looked sick. She got down to 97 at one point in time and that is when we thought she was going to die. You are perfectly healthy at that weight.

    The thing you have to remember about your thighs is that you see them from a direction that no one else is ever going to see them. (squashed down on a chair from the top) Of course they are going to look big to you because you are looking at them from a position no one else sees your legs. To other people, I am sure your legs look fine. As for the muffin top, it's because the pants nowadays ride so low on the hips that everyone is going to have a little muffin top if they aren't anorexic or all bones. Bones is not healthy. At 107 LBS. my daughter did not have enough fat in her system to maintain her periods even, so believe me... you are totally not even close to needing to lose weight.

  4. absolutely not fat, you do not need to loose any weight at all

    your bmi is 18.4 which is under the healthy range so please do not try and diet

    remember that your body is still maturing at 14, but if anything you could probably do with gaining a few pounds

  6. your not fat its just how your bodies built  and if you still dont feel better try working out in the moring like pilates or go to a gym or start running like your neighborhood i doo all that

  7. According to a BMI (Body Mass Index) calculator, you are a normal weight. Not underweight or overweight. You're right were you need to be, girl :)

    And as for the muffin tops, your jeans/shorts/pants may be a little to tight, causing these "spill overs".

  8. No hun, That is extremly average for your age. Im 14 and im 5'3'' at 105 pounds. My doctor said that that is exactly average (like they had a chart and everything) your fine. You need to stop worrying about that kinda stuff.

  10. no way you are almost like me except i'm 15 (almost 16!!) it really depends on what build you are... i'm athletic so most of my weight is muscles because i play softball and run. so no you aren't fat and you are actually kinda close to being underweight.

  17. you are NOT FAT!!!!!!  Most girls have a bit of fat at the places u got... it's totaly normal... I know i have it... and there's not much I can do about it.. but I know my body is nice.  If you think of ur self pretty (but not bragging that ur all that pretty and hot n stuff) then other ppl will think of you that way.  )))  So put a big nice smile on ur face, ur a pretty girl, with a nice body and don't let anyone change that for u. Whatever negative stuff ppl might say about u NEVER EVER LET THAT BOTHER U!  Life will be much better that way, trust me on that comes from personal experience. ))

  22. Dont stress too much. God made you just the way you are and you were made perfectly. Besides, haven't you ever heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and beauty is below the surface. =) as long as you are sweet at heart, it doesnt matter what you look like on the outside. =)
