I need help about my new sud and amp?

i have a kenwood amp well this is it http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=120&i=113KACX10D&tp=115 i have a 12inch rockford t1 2om how can i put my amp at 2 ohms?

  1. If you only have one sub then you can't wire it to 2 ohms,you can only get a 1 ohm or 4 ohm load.

    I checked the link you provided for your amp,and crutchfield has something wrong,either the picture is wrong or the description is wrong.

    They are saying it is a mono amp but i see two sets of speaker connections.


  2. The wiring is the only thing that will drop your amp to 2 ohms.  If you have 2 subs, run them in parallel off of the amp, and it should drop from 4 ohms to 2 ohms.  I'm not positive, but if your sub has dual coils you should be able to do the same with a single sub.

  4. dual 2 ohm voice coil=wire it in parralell it will be a 1 ohm load(bridged)

    single 2 ohm voice coil=wire it straight up it will b a 2 ohm load(bridged)
