  1. d**n man. i blew 3 kickers one time. it sucked, my first system. a good way to tell is to go to the back of the sub, and in the back there should be a hole in the middle, smell in that hole, if it smells burnt then its fried. if it smells fine then check ur ground and check ur wiring. also if its a hitting sound then it mite be ok when u play em. but if its a scraping (scares the **** out of u cuz u think its blow) sound, then srry man, they done.

    hope this helps

  2. sounds like amp went into protect, not a clue about the "quietly" part, if you disconnected power to your stereo and reconnected, that could have reset your settings and turned any type of "LOUD" setting off causing you to beleive you burned something up and freak out over nothing, lol just like me a few months back.

but by the way, kenwood=c**p in my opinion, good luck.

post a more detailed question and maybe youll get better luck

  3. Not a strong enough amp man, How powerful is the amp?

  4. It sounds to me like you are going to have to buy a new amp.

  5. when they are off push one in at a time and if it feels like something is scraping then they are blowen you normaly cant blow 2 at once very hard to do sounds to me like a wire lose somewhere cheak the battery posts i had this same problem and i thought they were blowen but i just tightend up the ground on the battery and it slammed again so just cheak all the wires and all the grounds and speaker wires and the ground on the head unit
