I recently purchased a new laptop and I want to transfer my iTunes files from my old laptop to my new one. To back up my library i need to use a blank DVD, but I don't have a DVD burner on it. I also tried putting all my songs on a playlist and burning it to multiple CD's, that didn't work because it has no info for the songs. What product is the best for what I need.

  1. get itunes back http://www.ipodtocomputer.net/itunes-lib... and you can backup from one computer and restore to another computer.

  2. You can try this software to backup songs, videos, photos in iPod to PC, copy iPod songs, videos, photos to new ipod, computer or notebook.

  3. Do you also have an iPod, or are you just using iTunes?

If you do have an iPod, open My Computer when you plug it in instead of iTunes. Then you can use the iPod like a giant flashdrive to transfer the songs (just drag the songs onto the iPod using My Computer (not iTunes) and when you plug it into the laptop, open the iPod with My Computer and then transfer the songs again (this time to the laptop).

If I remember correctly, you can't do this with the iPod Touch, but I'm not totally sure since I haven't tried it yet. If you have the iPod Touch or are just using iTunes, the only other thing I can think of is using a flashdrive (which are actually at a pretty good price these days).

  4. You could use a flash drive or if you have a home network you could share your itunes folder and then copy it onto your new computer. A flash drive would be best because if you only need to transfer them once cds and dvds would be to expensive and you would only use them once.
