Question:

I need help badly with internet explorer 10 pointer people that have make a living from fixing computers help?

ok so my internet explorer was working perfectly for a long time then all the sudden it started to not work it says server not found and it has been like this for almost 2 moths i have tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it did the same thing i have tried to make sure to proxy's were off because i know sometimes that can interfere with some browsers but that didn't work either i did a system restore when this first occurred and it was fine for about 8 days then it wouldn't work again then we would do another system restore after about the first month the system restore didn't work anymore and i need internet explorer for a certain website i have msn as a browser and firefox but i dont like how msn is a browser that you have to sign into so is there any programs that can interfere with a browser i know on msn if you take the messenger off it that msn will not work but i just need some advice i have tried pretty much everything that i know of from making sure the proxy's are off to uninstalling it to system restore to diagnosing the problem to trying another internet explorer....??? i am so confused right now i am going to be going to college to become a computer tech but i just cant figure this out and i need to know for future reference any suggestions or any one that really knows please help:) thanks i will give you ten points;)

    1.   GOTO CONTROL PANEL

    INTERNET OPTIONS

    CLICK PROGRAMMES TAB

    UNDER DEFAULT WEB BRWSER

    CLICK  MAKE DEFAULT

    PRESS OK

    OPTIONS,

    2.GO TO START

    ALL PROGRAMMES

    ACCESSORIES

    SYSTEM TOOLS

    CLICK

    INTERNET EXPLORER  (NO- ADD ONS)

    3.AT STARTUP , AFTER BIOS LOAD PRESS F8

    GO TO SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING

    TRY USE INTERNET EXPLORER.

    PL NOTE:

    1.ENSURE YOUR INTERNET LINE IS ACTIVE, MODEM/ROUTER IS PROPERLY CONFIGURED & OERATIONAL

    2.INTERNET EXPLORER HAS ALL THE NEEDED SETTINGS.


  3. Are you using antivirus and antispyware programs? I would try scanning with superantispyware.you can get it at superantispyware.com. I would also install Avast antivirus it is free and gets high praises from reviews. of course you can always get Norton or windows live one care or McCaffee. The only other thing I can think of is that IE 6-7-8, whichever you have maybe the issue. Have you downloaded IE 8 ? Maybe you should try chatting with microsoft to see if your settings are right and your system meets the requirements for the new version of IE.  

    I just noticed that the Google pack includes a norton virus scan and that is free, it will remove a virus as well however it is not a full version of antivirus protection as it does not give real time protection. It only detects and eliminates viruses.
