I am 17 years old and have just found that it is easier for me to drive a truck than a car. So I would like to buy one but I don't know what kind to get. I want one with decent gas mileage. Help???

  1. Longest running engines are 4 cylinder Toyota, and Nissan. They both have timing chains.Their automatics last over 300,000 miles if fluid changed every 35,000 miles.

  2. mazda b2000

    chevy calorado

    ford ranger

    nissan frontier

  3. Any 4 cylinder Ranger.

Mine went to 284,000 miles before cylinder #4 lost compression.

It's definitely running around in Mexico now.

  4. I have a 2008 Avalanche and get 13.8 mpg sooo... you might want to look for something smaller, like a Chevy Colorado or a smaller Toyota or Nissan. the Nissan's are adorable by the way, goodluck!

  5. 98- 2003 Chevy S-10's with a 4 cyl and manual trans will get 23- 28 MPG and are pretty reliable!

  6. try either looking into a ford ranger, or a mazda b-series truck, they are basically the same truck but will get better then 20 miles a gallon
