I need help changeing the code on garage opener???

  1. ok it sounds like you have a Chamberlain  product maybe tryin to keep somebody out ////been there!!! on the back of the operator theres a ''smart button'' hold down prox bout 20 secs. this wipes out all memory of old codes then after that press same button ''smart button'' and  depress remote buttons and or (new keypad code and then enter) as stated

    above the light will flash when code is received


  2. I take it this a keypad?  It varies from brand to brand. Typically you enter a key sequence telling the keypad to learn a new code.  Once you've programmed the new code into the keypad, you press the "learn" button on the side of the garage door opener (assuming this is a wireless keypad), and an LED will start flashing.  Then back to the keypad, enter your new code, then press and hold Enter until the light bulb on the garage door flashes, indicating that it now recognizes the keypad.

    As for the sequence to teach the keypad a new code - you'll need to know the make and model of keypad you have.  Once you know that, google it.  I've had several different keypads, and I've always been able to find the instructions online
