Okay so in case I get a hamster I need help knowing what kind of cage would be best for a hamster.

What is the minimum size?

What is the maximum size?

I am willing to buy any cost cage but I kinda want it to have bars but not the type that it will gnaw through.

By the way, I think I will be obtaining a Teddy Bear hamster.

  1. Most new color full cages with tubes are a good size. However i will advise you against getting one of these and go with the old fashioned glass cage with screen top.

I had purchased one of these im not it was critter something the one with the ball on top. I thought it was very nice for my hammy. However he would sleep in the ball and make a terrible mess. Then he found a way to pry open the door and that was end of that cage. On to the next one i purchased same type by critter something this one is a two story with like inserts to sit on. This one he would pop the top off and climb out , he would climb the side of the cage, he never used the wheel because he was too big for it. Now at the top of this cage is a petting spot where tou can open it up too. In between there is a rather small hole well he used to crawl threw that hole until two days ago he got stuck coming threw that hole and i didnt notice and he died hanging upside down.

Be advised get a glass cage and call it a day . Good luck

  2. pick what ever fits in your room.

remember a hamster is a living being and likes to have as much room as possible

  3. A  big enough cage, stern and safe  but make sure it comfortable

  4. for a hamster  you would need a med size cage only because it needs space and you need to make sure it is comfortable for the little hamster i love hamster there so cute

  5. Im letting you know that there is no maximum cage since hamsters l;ove to roam around the bigger it is the better

this should be minimun size: http://images.buzzillions.com/images_pro...
