I'm 16, going to be a senior in high school, and I don't know what major to choose. I know I want to get into something with business or banks, maybe government. The majors I'm looking into are Finance, Economics, Business, International Business, International Economics, and Political Science. I want to do a double major, and which two would go best together. I want to make good money, anywhere from $70,000 and up. My main goal is to be successful. Which Majors have the best starting out jobs in, and which are more money oriented?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. You do not need to pick a major yet.  Tell your college advisor that you are interest in business and start by taking some of the core courses.  This will give you a better understanding of what you are interested in and you can decide then.

Some good degrees at the moment would be in accounting, engineering, finance, and almost anything having to do with computers.  Take the very basic classes in any field you might like and then make your decission, you don't have to do it now.

  2. I"ll tell you, right now the one solid thing in the marketplace is information scientists. They are the ones who work with information within a computer. They make incredible money are have not been hit by the slowing economy. You can make great money. Check it out.
