I have a dell studio 15 laptop and i recently bought a n wireless router that is also backwards compatible with b/g. I am planning to buy a new wireless card for my laptop that is compatible with n (current one only works with b/g). I don't want to buy an adapter. I need to know if i replace my current wireless card will i loose bluetooth capabilities? Or is there a different bluetooth card in the laptop? I'm asking this because one of the two wireless cards that I am looking at says that it offers bluetooth support and the other one doesn't mention it. The one that mentions bluetooth support is twice as expensive as the one that doesn't? Thanks.

  1. I have not herd of a wifi blue-tooth combo card, I wish you could have given the model number of it. generally your laptop may have blue-tooth build in, wireless built in or external. blue tooth dongles are cheep even at walmart. wifi n cards are $100 or more d-link extreme dwa-652 is what I have as it has the best distance from c-net review. which is what I wanted. the though-output of n cards needs another year or so to get close to specifications. if the wifi blue-tooth combo has drivers for stereo, for headphones I would add it to the list of possibilities, though with improving blue-tooth adapters combo may make you spend more and find a better blue-tooth down the road. Its your choice, Myself, look for the best for what you want it to do.
