I need help coming up with an intro for my English Essay?

everything i come up with is kinda bad, so any help would be greatly appreciated! I have to write it on My favorite color,food and animal. How would i go about this?

The best way is the clear way. Make your essay easy to understand.  I had an english teacher explain a very easy method for writing essays.

first paragraph - explain what you are writing about by reforming the question: "I have many favorite things in my life.  My favorite color is red, my favorite food is lasagna and my favorite animal is a cat.

second paragraph, take the first favorite thing and give 2-3 good reasons why it is your favorite

third paragraph -  take the second favorite thing and give 2-3 good reasons why it is your favorite

fourth paragraph - take the last favorite thing and give 2-3 good reasons why it is your favorite

fifth paragraph - basically restate the first paragraph using slightly different words like "In conclusion, my favirite color, food and animal are my favorites because they make me happy.  Without the color red, lasagna and cats in my life, things would be pretty dull."

Say something about how everyone is different.  We all have different likes and dislikes. It makes the world a more colorful place.
