Ok, so I'm redecorating my bedroom to be beach themed. I already have the colors - pale green, blue, and yellow - but I'm not sure what else to do with it. I'm going to get a daybed or something like it. Any suggestions for me? I'll listen to anybody, I have a waay open mind. (: Thanks!

  1. Well you could get handles for a dresser that are palm treas or surf boards. get like a bedspread that has like all the colors and they have grass bed skirts at like target that im getting for my room. For more ideas you could look at pbteen.com and other websites like that. Hope everything goes good.

  2. shells and stuff on your shelves

take a cheap square end table...sand it down (by hand...watever)...and then build edges around it, like a frame for a sandbox. Stain it and fill it with sand, pictures of the beach, rocks, shells, c**p like that, and then place a piece of glass on top so you can see into it. Its pretty cool looking!

Also, get a hammock! they're lots of fun and they are pretty inexpensive!

When youre at the beach, theres amazing sunshine...so with the lighting in ur room, put a yellow piece or orange piece of material tacked up over it (but not tight or its a fire hazard!) and that should make the lighting really really cool (like youre under the sun...hot day at the beach!)

And dont forget beachy pics! White frames with orange sunrise or beachy theme pics are cool. They should pop against the green, yellow, & blue paint colours.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Get some seashells, either from the beach or from a store -- the Rite Aid here in my town sells them in a bag.  Put them in a bowl and sit them out on your dresser or something.  Buy some fake floral leis (the things that go around your neck in Hawaii) -- you can get them at the dollar store.  Put up some posters of tropical places.  Just use your imagination.  Use anything that you can think of that you would find at a beach.

  5. i no this great!! site if you want more of a surfed themed bedroom thesurfroom.com and you could get murals and nice blues and tans for wall colors, this is what im doing with my room:]

  6. Get some nice ideas at http://www.thehawaiianhome.com

  7. I love this one!! LOL Here are my ideas....

~ Buy a net to lay flat on the wall and add "beachy" stuff to it.

    ~ Buy a hammack

~ They have bamboo runners (for the table) at Party City.. they are adorable.. you can put them on your dresser. Bamboo really gets it looking beachy!!

~ Add a bamboo area rug

~ Get a small fountain to put in your room.. the sounds of water will seem like you're at the beach!

~ Get a glass fish bowl.. fill it with sand and add a touch of seashells to it.

~ If you have any pics of you, family or friends at the beach.. put them in frames and set them out

~ Use sheer curtains to make the window "breezy" feeling

~ Add a tropical plant in the corner

~ If you know someone that can paint.. you can paint a mural of the beach and palm trees on a wall

~ Put a surfboard on the wall

I hope all those help!  I could of went on and on!! LOL

  8. Go for tropical paridise. Try putting a palm in there, mabey work from there.

  9. Maybe you could get a bulletiun board (big, but not too big) and put up pictures of the beach and palm trees and sunset on a beach or anything beach related. You could print them out from your computer or you could go to a craft store to see if they have any pictures there or anything cool and beach related that you could put up on your bulletin board. And maybe you could put up sayings onto the board that say things beach related. Maybe something like "Paradise!" or "Nothing beats a day at the beach!" or "Endless Summer!" Maybe you could get a fish net at a craft store and hang it over your dresser or any other surface in your room and put some shells on it. I hope my suggestions helped!
