I am training to be a professional ballet dancer, and I CANNOT cope with school any longer. It has been resolved that, since getting laid off, my mother does not have a job for next year. This is a great thing for me and you know why? I NEED to be virtual schooled. Next year she will be home all the time to work on her dissertation. My ballet schedule will be really busy next year, and I would have to leave school early. I have also HAD IT with school in every way. I AM gifted and on the honor roll, but, let me tell you, the pressure adds up. I dread going to school each morning, becauseI am just too stressed. I have no time to study, read (which is something I love), and always get saddled with work in group projects. Just last week I got home at 11:45 and had to wake up at 5:15 to study I'm working on getting her to grasp the idea, but I know my dad will be another story completely.Currently my options are either IQ Academy or K12 Online Learning. My Ps are very against homeschooltho

  1. Of the two options, I'd go with K12.  Can you convince them to attend an open house, or a virtual information session?

Since I don't know what state you're in, here's the main link for all events for virtual schools:

    http://www.k12.com/promotions/k12_events...

If you did virtual schooling, you'd have soooo much extra time in a day to practice your ballet, plus learn other things that interest you.  You'd have a very flexible schedule also (that stays within the school's calendar.

How about writing a presuasive essay and giving it to them?  Or taking them out to dinner for a serious talk about it.

  2. I dont know much about virtual school. Is the problem that your parents are not sure that you will really buckle down and do your work? Perhaps you can prove yourself over the summer. Does the virtual school offer courses during the summer? If they do, enroll yourself in them, and ask your parents if you can prove to them that you can stick with it and get good grades without them having to nag you to do your assignments, then they will let you continue during the year. Point out that if you can do this when it is the summer when most kids are out swimming etc, you can certainly do it during the year. If the virtual school does not offer summer courses, then ask your parents to provide you with assigments and tests so you can prove yourself.

  3. GRADES are yo grades good

if thats the case then just tell like look my grades are good so just let me try it out

if my grade start to suck put me right back in reg skool

NOW if your grade suck then you know what tell im tressed out all the time because of skool the people and evreything teachers and all that and if all eles fails its a very un safe in viroument ... people there are not very saff i herd people sell drugs ... good luck i hope both your dreams come true
