I need help dealing with should cell phons be allowed in school?

Cell phones should be allowed in school but:

1)  Should be set on silent mode so they only buzz and not ring/beep when a call comes in.

2)  Should only be used for emergency purposes.   That is to say your mom calling you for something important is OK but having your classmate call you or text you just to chat or because they have "juicy" gossip is NOT.

there is no reason for an elementary or junior high school (some places call it middle school) student to even have a cell phone.

in high school, there should be no reason to have a cell phone with you while you are in school, they can be used as devices to cheat (texting answers, or using cellular internet)

they cause a distraction, taking away from your education

they cause more problems for teachers, and security, now when there is a fight after school, everyone calls there friends, and the crowd becomes even more difficult to control and disburse

students who are sick, or have an emergency can always go to the principal or nurse office and make a phone call to there parents..

in the event that the parents demand that there children have a cell phone with them, the phones should be held at the principal office, or security desk during the course of the school day. The parents should provide a statement in writing to the principal explaining why this particular student requires a cell phone, and they should be charged a small fee, for the added duties of the security personnel to maintain students cell phones during the school day.

with these exceptions, the privilege should be revocable, if there is cause.

in collage, you are an adult, and should know how to behave, and deal with cellular phones in a mature, and respectable way, as to not interfear with others education and saftey
