I need help deciding what pattern to use for some costumes I am making.?

I am making the two outfits on the right, the black ones. I could really use some help in choosing a pattern for the female's dress as well as the male's ensemble. I have a ballpark idea for the female's, but I have no clue for the male's. And yes these costumes are being made for the gender they are intended for. Basically, I'm making the female's for myself and the male's for my husband. Any suggestions are welcomed with open arms. ^.^

The pattern below, #3637, would work, with modifications, for the female dress but I can't find anything that would work for the men's outfit.
