  1. you will have the best time. i just went there July 6th. I've been on a ton of cruises and other vacations before but Cozumel was definitely my favorite.

  2. bluecash99 is right.  If you're planning on seeing the ruins at Chichen Itza or Tulum, you should also take some insect repellent.  Those areas are considered to be a malaria risk.  It's a very small risk, but it can't hurt to take precautions to keep the mosquitos away.  If you stay in the Cozumel area, you don't need to worry about it.

  3. Bathing suit, sunscreen, wide brim hat and mucho dinero. Lots of ones for tips...

  4. Forget the "long pants".  Sundresses, cotton skirts, shorts light weight cover-ups are all you need.  Don't even think about bringing a sweater.  Take a pashmina to use on the plane but that's about it.  Yes, you should make a trip to the bank to get a hundred 1's and a five dollar bill for your housekeeper for every day you spend.  Believe me..it is worth the tiny investment.  Americans are so thrifty, they feel fine about spending $250.00 per night but can't seem to roll out the five for service well done.  Anyway, dress codes here are non-existent but you do need to be respectful.  If it is a beautiful restaurant you are going to, you're not going to wear a bikini and flip-flops.  Everyone is hot here so dress for the weather and simply use common sense!  Enjoy your trip!

  5. Sun block, money and empty suitcases

  6. Lots of Aloe and sunscreen...Plus, some xtra cash and a few snacks.

  7. Hi,

You are going during the heat of Summer. So dress accordingly. Lots of whites, a wide brimmed hat to keep the sun off your neck.

Light weight shorts, No socks, sandals will do just fine. Swim suits, you can just about live in swimwear. For the evening when you go out light-weight long pants.

Sun block and bug spray if you need it.

I'm sure you'll be staying at an All-Inclusive Resort. Most Resorts have a couple of restaurants and you will have to follow the rules of no shorts or sun dresses so the long pants will work.

If you plan on going in the ocean make sure you cover yourself with a T-shirt, you will burn if you don't.

For the best bargains on the island try downtown when the cruise ships are in port, prices will come down. Make sure you wheel and deal for your price even if you have to walk away from the shop once on twice.

Rent a jeep for a day and tour the island you can have fun and drive around the island in about three hours. Take half a day and enjoy the backside of the island, make sure you visit Coconuts on the hill.

    Enjoy,
