I need help deciding which bicycle to purchase. Either the Trek 7.2 FX or a Schwinn Super sport GS M?

  2. I'd go with a Trek.

    But then I'm a bit bias, since I have spent 3 happy years (and approx 15,000Km) with my Trek 7100fx. Granted, some parts have had to be replaced due to wear but that's bound to happen eventually. And Trek seems to have a good reputation & warranty back-up.

    The components/geometry on both bikes are very similar however.

    As long as you  get the bike of choice from a bike shop (with a decent warranty), you'll a reasonable quality, fast city bike.
