if we are not better prepared to care for victims, the results will happen again

OMG...since the bible we've made the same mistakes the fall of Babylon, Sodom and Gomorrah, the flood, the great depression in the 1940's all happening all over again, the fall of Rome and  Egypt

Human society is prone to the same errors every generation. There are some lessons that previous generations have discovered that we are not paying attention to, and are unwisely pursuing.

For example, even the movie Princess Bride  repeats that it is stupid to engage in a land war in Asia.

Another, if you remove morality from society by legislation, you end up with an immoral society. So we eliminate religion from public view!

ah, if i'm not mistaken such a quote is said by George Santayana......well,this is an easy one actually.....history is the incidents that occur in the past.....therefore,by learning how a tragedy such as the Dark Ages takes place,then we as the present generations are able to understand it,hence making us able to avoid such a bad thing from repeating itself once more......its more like learning from the mistakes of others....and that my friend is what history is all about......most of the times History tends to teach humans to be more careful with what they are about to do.....it is actually the basis in building a better future for mankind.......i leave the rest to you.....
