I need help doing a search for a news story I saw yesterday, I can't find it today.?

Question

The news story is about a woman in IL (Frankfurt, IIRC). She was born in 1922. A plumber came into her home to fix her sump pump. He left a water bottle at her house and she drank from it and became ill as the bottle was filled with some kind of acid.

Sounds like one of those rare urban legends that the media was actually naive enough to report as fact.

Go to  www.snopes.com and click on the "urban legends" link.

These people find all the cool rumors,and tell you if they're true or not.

They even have an email addy that you can send a question to,and they actually answer back!
