Currently, I am getting my resume together. I am ready to leave my job and find another one. Just to let you know more about my situation, I am a performing artist(singing, acting, voice-over). I am looking for a job with a flexible schedule, so I can go out on auditions and do gigs. My work background is office administration. I am not looking to be the CEO of a company or make partner. I just want a job that is enjoyable and it won't get in the way of me pursuing music. Music is really my passion. Someone is working with me on my resume. What should I tell her about my career goals? I feel as though my career goals and my "pay the bills" job are two different things. Any suggestions would help.

  1. Experience experience experience.  That is what any casting Director is looking for.  If you don’t have, then just tell think about your current job.  But go to EVERYTHING and get some experience.

I’m studying Film Directing, and they teach us to look for people who know how it works and understand the conditions.  It makes our job so much easier.
