You need to give some more info about what your essay actually has to be about - it's hard to help you out with this little detail.

EDIT- okay thanks for the extra details =)

um you could talk about what kinds of subjects and topics you would like to learn about such as wars, environmental issues/events, how America (or whatever country you are in) developed, economics.

You could also talk about what kinds of skills you want to learn. Maybe you want to improve your researching and note taking skills, maybe you want to improve your vocab, maybe you want to be able to write more sophisticated essays, maybe you want to use this subject to be more organised and studious.
