Hi, I have an rv and we get like 7 miles to a gallon. It's like 1111 miles destination and figuring gas will probably be like at $4 a gallon, I'm figuring that it will come out to $634.86 for a one way trip. Am I correct? If you own an rv and traveled to Florida can you tell me how much you spend on gas and what state you traveled from. I just want to figure out if I will be able to afford this. Thanks so much.

  1. i think the way you figured it out is correct. It also seems you overestimated on the gas price which may be a benefit and give you a bit of a cushion. This is exactly what i did when i moved from south dakota to Texas... you may laugh at this next part.... i also prayed before i left. When i got to texas i  still had about $250 i shouldnt have had left when i got there. I hope you have a great time on your trip. Travel Safe.

  2. well i can do the math, but i need to know the mpg for you vehicle.

after that i do my best to answer it and have some freinds try it too.

    good luck and have fun!

  3. If you calculations are accurate, you are ok.

However you are bound to run into some traffic somewhere.

My boss does it from Mass to FL, and it cost him a little more than you are estimating, but we are 2 states further away, I would budget for around 800.00 to be on the safe side, also

figure in tolls if you take Rt.95 all the way, if you have a GPS it can get you there avoiding the tolls.

Good luck, and have a fun trip.

  4. i don't own an rv, but i did the math and you are correct.
