  1. It won't be easy to park at Fisherman's Wharf.  I would park your car somewhere else and take a bus to the wharf.  SF has excellent public transportation.  There is a parking lot at the Exploratorium, so that may not be as difficult.  But you can also take bus #30, #43, #28 and #29 from the Wharf to the Exploratorium.  Parking is always difficult in SF, especially in the touristy areas.  Here's an MTA map http://www.sfmta.com/cms/mmaps/indxmaps....

Cable cars only run between downtown and Fisherman's Wharf.

  3. It's a long walk from Fisherman's Wharf to the Exploratorium, and parking is free at the Exploratorium, so you might just want to drive. You could also rent bikes at Fisherman's Wharf, or, if you're feeling adventuresome, you could zip between spots in a little yellow talking Go-Car (http://www.gocartours.com/sanfrancisco.h...

Also, for general getting around San Francisco questions, you can't beat 511 (online at 511.org or call 511) Its online trip planner (find it here: http://tripplanner.transit.511.org/mtc/X... allows you to create a multi-leg trip and tells you what your options are for getting from one place to another.
