I need help finding a book variation of rumpledstiltskin?

Question

This book is a little different from the original Rumpelstiltskin but it is the same fairy tale only more of an adult version of it. This story deals more with his daughter and explains in a more detail what happens throughout the story. The story starts out in a love scene in a barn. I just can't seem to remember the name of this book I think that it might start with an S but I am not sure. Please help me! Thank you for reading.

altho this isn't the book you're looking for, you might enjoy "the book of lost things" by john connolly which is a variation of the rumplestiltskin tale.

I haven't read any of these so cannot say for sure if one of these is what you are searching for...but here are 3 novel versions of Rumpelstiltskin. Two of them even start with "S"!
