I'm turning 13 this July, and for my birthday I want to get an electric guitar. I play accustic and take lessons (all together for about a year. I quit once but missed it too much so I started agian) Ok so I don't have any expericance with electrics, I'm just tired of the acustic. So my question is, what brand should I get, where, how, and are the wal-mart guitars worth the price. But I need somthing for somone my age or older (I'm 5'7 and I don't think that a 9 year olds guitar would fit me). Thanks in advanced!!!

  1. At the music stores they usually have a "try out" section or room for people to try guitars or other instruments. You should play everything they have in the store!!

Then go to the Pawn Shops. Play every guitar they have in the store.

My brother got most of his guitars at Pawn Shops. People get broke and go pawn (borrow money against) their guitars, sometimes things happen so they can't get back to get them, so the shop puts them up for sale after a period of time. They are usually very good ones, gently used, and really much less expensive than going to music store.

Enjoy the shopping tour!!! I would like to be able to hear you play some of these instruments.

  2. Go to guitar center the store or go to their website.

  3. go to guitar center the store and tell them they will know

  4. try best buy.com or go to wal-mart or meijer.
