  1. Possible job leads might be found through regional Farm Bureau and USDA field offices. Also try area ag cooperatives and state/junior colleges' ag departments. There's always the possibility of contract work with ag business incubators, too.

  2. why not get a grant and study rice in louisiana? they need a person to help the locals witht the rice fields

  3. yeah department of agriculture. Or why not check with your local job and family services, they post things often. Or check with the state. Also check with local vocational schools to see if they've posted anything on the career board (most schools have them)...or check with the school in which you've obtained the degree.

I studied Agriculture 4 years and I am not sure I will go back but if I do there are some great paying jobs in ohio ($40K and up a year)

  4. Have you tried a gov't position with the Dept of Agriculture?

  5. http://www.laworks.net/

  6. Dupont is also a big company in research with agriculture and pesticides.  See if part of the company is based in your area.

  7. Why don't you try at a central grain elevator, like Cargill, Pioneer, etc?

  8. try www.careerbuilders.com. louisiana should have an employment website. also with unemployment so high there you may want to consider moving.
