I need help finding a new tv?

I have about $800 and im looking for a new HD tv. I play a lot of video games on XBox 360 and was wondering if a certain brand of tv does better in that field. And is 1080p or 1080i better, and is there a big difference going from 720 to 1080? Tell me what brand you think I should get. Thanks for your help!

I too have the same budget. And same requirement :D. i am looking at a 32inch LCD TV from samsung. Its a 720p. Difference between 720p and 1080p is not much noticeable in smaller screens.

The TV that i am looking at is LN32A450. It has excellent reviews.. you can get cheaper ones too , but it makes sense to buy a better one.

You will only find 720P display panels in that price range....

So, if you can, STEER clear of NO Name TV sets....

Visio, Westinghouse, ILO, Olevia, Polaroid do not supply parts and that's why they are cheap....you throw it away as soon as it breaks...

Sony, Hitachi, Philips, Mitsubishi, Toshiba are all brands where you pay more upfront, but they last 10 to 15 years instead of 5 years.....

Recommend you stay away from AKAI. I purchased a 27" hd tv

four month later it was in the shop .Diagnosis was the control

board was burnt out .According too repair shop ,this was

an everyday occurrence for this product .The part -s- needed

to repair came from overseas .It took one month to have it repaired under warranty.
