  1. RMS power is the actual measure of power

max watts means nothing - don't go for max power , never!

as you mentioned 250 rms each subwoofer(real power handling)

    you have two options

    - buy a 4 channel amplifier - (pushing 250rms in bridged mode)use two channel bridged for one sub and other two channel bridged for the other sub(cheap alternative till 250$)

    - buy a mono amplifier pusing 500 RMS @ 2 ohms and wire the both subs in series to attain a 2ohm load , which will give both subs 250 rms each (more than 250$)

mono amp is good for subs as it is designed specially for subs but comes expensive.

4 channel is not bad at all but is an alternative for a mono amp works just as good as mono if not better.

since you didn't mentoned any budget look into the mentioned brands

    ROCKFORD FOSGATE

    KICKER

    JL AUDIO

    KENWOOD

    HIFONICS

    JBL

all works good for there price
