I need help finding volunteer program for youth interested in biology?

okay so im 13..im very interested in biology and i was hoping that someone could tell me about any volunteer programs for people my age that are in the field of biology that are in or around cape may county? thanks a bunchh

Hey, check out your vicinity college or university research labs, they always want eager young people to volunteer to do basic research work.  You can work in all sorts of stuff, everything from studying animals (like fruit flies, or fish etc), or human related topics (like working on cancer cures etc).  At 13, you already have the brains to learn and do well in most of these research labs.

Also, if you want clinical experience, you could volunteer at a hospital or even a retirement/nursing home.  This won't give you much exposure to "biology" per se, but it will let you great exposure to the field of medicine (for hospital) or warm and intelligent people (retirement homes)... and when you help people, it makes you feel wonderful.

So it depends... do you want to deal with people or do you like to like to investigate and discover stuff...
