There is really only like 1 or 2 real small things from probably 2-3 years ago, but for instance I have a judgement placed against my credit for an apartment I had gotten evicted out of about 1 year and a half ago. I was going through a hard time back then and just couldn't keep up. Everything is fine now, we have a nice house (we had to put a lot of money down on it but its ok), but especially because of that my credit is horrible! I have called the old apartment complex to try to pay the debt off so it could be removed from my credit, they say that can no longer handle it and give me a phone number that is DISCONNECTED!!! So I call them back to tell them I need another number because that is disconnected and they give me a name of a Precinct, they dont have another phone number other then the one they gave me. So I try to look up the Precinct (because I really badly want this off my credit) I look it up in the phone book and even try to google it and its no where to be found. I called a Precinct that does exist and ask them for the number and they tell me they have never heard of that Precinct. I dont know what to do, I was speaking to a banker once and he said if I could get this off my credit it would shoot it up by I think he said like a hundred points or so. I need help with fixing this, I want better credit. I feel its important. I feel embarassed that I'm only 24 years old, going to be having a baby next month and have a terrible horrible credit score just because of a few small things and one MAJOR thing.

  1. Do you have a copy of your most recent credit report? Anything that shows up in collections or under the negative portion has to have either a phone number or address. Did you look there? I used to work with people to get their credit cleaned up, email me if I can help you further. Good luck!

  2. Since the phone number the apartment complex gave you is disconnected there is a chance that the collection company is out of business.

I would try disputing this account with all 3 credit bureaus and see if drops off that way.

  3. pay the judgments to the court they will get it to the proper person
