I need help for Relay For Life...?

I need help designing our team's spirit stick.The spirit stick is for Relay For Life. Our college team (along with other teams) need a spirit stick. Our theme is putt putt golf/extreme ping pong. I need some really good ideas because the best spirit stick wins some sort of award and we want it because its just fun. I have a picture of the stick base, its about a foot long and half an inch in diameter. We really want it to be very over the top (glitter, glowings, streamers, etc). Our team hosts this event and since so many teams join, we've been pushed to the back. We really want to be "the team" this year to help pull in more donations. Please, be serious.

I would paint it metallic silver or gold and then try to find a way to attach different colored putt-putt golf balls and ping-pong balls to it, for starters.
