There is the problem:i have bought an universal remote controller, but its missing one function that i should use on the old one in order to make the new one functional.I have a Sony Trinitron, and on the back of the tv it is written:KV X2931D.These tv's have the chanells like:1,2,3...C1,C2,C3...,S1,S2,S3...,and i don't know how to memorize the chanells in order to have all of them on 1,2,3,4....and so on,so i can use my new remote controller. There are some buttons under the flap, but i don't know how to use it in order to move the chanells around. There is a square,a red dot,a rombus....and so on......I hope someone can help me,i promise i will choose best answer, thanks guys,i hope someone has this kind of remote and know how to use it.Thanks!!!

  1. You need to be able to access the menu.  The problem with many universal remotes is that you still can not do this with them.

Some of those Sony's have a menu button on the front.  If so, you need to scroll until you get to the chanel set up and then you set it to scan all the channels.

    Good luck.
