I need help from a motocross rider?

Question

i'm just beginig with my friend and my parents are having a tough time with knowing were to get all the gear any Ideas where, any stores? also does it matter that im thirteen and starting to learn cause everyone says that im not gonna have a chance and that i hould've started younger

I live in the Bronx, NY, my friend does motocross and i went with him to new jersey to a track and his father offered to teach me so i need the gear!

A couple good places in NJ, not far from NY.  Just over the outer bridge or Goethals onto 287North.  Sport Honda in Metuchen, NJ Always packed with off road gear, next door is BMW and Ducatti.  1/4 mi up the road is Yamaha, they have some good stuff.  Another really good place is Green Brook Cycle off Rout 22.  They have some good stuff.  This week, Thursday the 11th, Sport Honda is having a sale Called Dirt Bike and ATV night.  If you can I would check it out. You can talk to experienced riders and get some tips on what is good and bad in the current scene.  If you go or not sign up on their website and you will get informational bulletins and coupons for gear and other stuff.  Enjoy!!!

Pick up Motocross Action Magazine or Dirt Bike Magazine, they have ideas on where to get the best possible gear, then give them a call. Most calls are toll free.

Check any of the local motorcycle dealerships(not Harley Davidson) or you can shop online.

You can go to a place were they sell dirtbikes. You can also buy stuff online. If  you  go to your friends race there should be a place on the track campus were u can buy gear.

i learned wheni was like 11 i think going on 12 and im 13 right now.

i haven't been riding that long but im pretty good.

i had a lot of help from my brother and my dad, and they have been riding their whole life.

its good that you have someone that is willing to show you.

about the gear... usually whereever they sell bikes they sell gear.

theres some good places on the internet with good prices.
