Hello I am trying to see if anyone knows what either of these toys are that I had as a kid in the 80's

1. It was a plastic robot that had buttons on either side. You could slide different cards onto his stomach and the cards would have things like math problems on them. You could push a button on either side, and it would make noise if you got it right or wrong

2. It was a cassette player (I think Sesame Street made it)

It came with tapes and books. There were different colored buttons on the player (red, blue, green) and the narrator would say something like "If you want Oscar to go left push the gree button, if not push the blue one" It basically let you decide how you wanted the story to go......

Thanks for any help..this has been driving me crazy!!!!

  1. Well, the first one kind of sounded like 2XL but they only had buttons on the front.  They were 8 track cassette players.  I still have one somewhere, minus the power cord.  There was another, similar one...Alphie?

  2. 1. Alphie

Alphie was a pre-school talking robot from Playskool. Alphie the Learning Robot came with reversible overlay game cards to give different games when placed on Alphie's chest.Gameboards for Alphie included Alphie Explores Mars, Space Pirates, Robot Land and Rhyming star whilst the cards were; Robot Land, Space Pirates, Rhyming Star, Same Number, Word Match, Word Picture Mat, Number and Objects, Same Ending Sounds, Subtraction, Addition and Same Shapes.
