Currently, I am tall and slanky, and I need to start working out. I am 15 years old and would like to know how I should work out (Like going to the Gym and lifting weights, doing push-ups and situps, and running a mile on a treadmill)

  1. do not starve yourself! eat 3 healthy meals and a snack in between. do not eat late and exercise. it is going to be work but if you want a nice body it is worth it.

  2. lay off the hoe hoes fatty :(

    LOL JK

Yeah what you have in the parentheses is good... good luck.

  3. ignore the ***** that suggested hoodia- NO DIET PILLS!!!!! Not only does it sound like you don't need them, they suck, they're bad for you, they'll cause long-term health problems, and half of them don't even work except to make your wallet lighter.

  4. you should start eating protein foods and drink a lot of water.

be diligent doing bench press and sit ups for upper body strength.

do some squads for body balance and leg strength.

  5. Do you mean ur skinny? If you want to gain mass, try this. First you gotta get some quality whey protein, this is the main thing thats gonna help get you bigger. I recommend getting Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard ( best whey protein there is )... Mix one scoop with water or milk and drink it 20 minutes before you go to the gym. When you get to the gym, lift heavy weights not light. Lets say your working on the bench press, do 5 sets of 5 reps each time, and the same with all other workouts. This type of weight lifting gains mass. Then FIRST thing you get home drink another shake. But this time mix 2 and a half scoops with water or milk and drink it. The key is to get the protein in ur system as soon as possible after ur workout. And get a good night of sleep because thats when your muscles recover.

  6. You have two issues,   putting on muscle mass and aerobic exercise.

Can not help you with the muscle mass but can with the running.

Get a good comfortable pair of running shoes.  They do not have to be expensive,  just so they fit well and are comfortable.

Start the first week by running for six minutes three times in the week.  Do not go for speed.  Just go for a jog at a pace that you can keep up for six minutes.    Do the same the second week.   After that,  start increasing the time,  doing it three times a week.

    Third week:  eight minutes.

    Fourth... ten minutes.

    Fifth.  twelve minutes.

    Sixth.  fifteen minutes.

Seventh... twenty minutes and start measuring the distance.

    Eighth....twenty-five minutes,  measuring the distance.

Ninth... thirty minutes,  measuring the distance.

Tenth week,  take the distance you did the ninth week and try to do it a little faster each time and then finish up the thirty minutes.

Eleventh week,  keep doing the same.

Twelfth week.   Now you go to a quarter mile track.   If you did things right you should easily be able to do three miles in less than 30 minutes.   After this you keep increasing speed but always running at least 30 minutes three times a week.   Within 1-2 more months,  you will be able to do 8 minute miles which is pretty good.

Continue doing at least 30 minutes three times a week.  If you become interest in marathon running,  start increasing the time in ten to twenty minute increments.   If you are interested in sprint type racing,  keep doing the 30 minutes but each time try for just a little more speed.

Keep an eye on your shoes.  As soon as they start falling apart in ANY way,  get a new pair of running shoes.  Use the old ones for something other than running.

    Good luck.
