I need help getting pictures on my laptop from my camera?

ok so i just got a new camera and i wantto know how to put pictures on that are on the camera......what ever you need to liek connect it tothe computer i have it becaz my sister has a camera and she does it all the time.....but she wont tell me how......so if you could give good clear directions on how to do this that would be great....thanks

Install the software that came with your camera.

Or

Get a card reader, they are cheap and very handy to use. You would put the card from your camera in the reader and open the reader as a drive in MyComputer, then also open MyDocuments/MyPictures and drag and drop your photos into the

file.

Hi Dwight.   Congrats on your 2 Best Answers!!!  Let's see if I can give you a good answer to your question here.   Ok...  If you got your camera new and it came in a box and you have all the stuff that came in the box... you will have a cord that attaches to the camera and to the laptop.  You first have to install the software that came with your camera because that is the information your laptop needs to be able to read what is on your camera  -  the pics.:).    When you have that software installed just plug the camera (turn it on) into the laptop and some instructions will pop up and take you through the procedure to load the pics from there.   Now if you don't completely understand that... I have a trick for you to try.   Take some nice pictures of your mom, dad, grandparents...  your dad's car,  your mom and dad together...  sort of like portraits.    Be really excited about wanting them to see the pictures and tell them you want to show them the pics but only your sister knows how to load them to the computer.  Ask them to tell her to show you how...     I think it will work... and act all innocent.  ;))  Hope one of those things works for you...  or else get a card reader.
