I need help hooking up a system?

Question

the deck has one set of pre outs for the amp but i want to run two amps and neither one of the amps has outputs jst inputs. can i split each of the preouts with a y splitter and then run two completely different lines

I was definitely gonna say what that first guy said, but I wasn't gonna say the part about the signal being too low, but yeah find a signal amplifier for it......

well if one has speaker level inputs hook it up that way.  But Y splitters will work also the signal should still be fine as long as you have at least 4v preouts. If not just get a signal booster

You can split them with a Y, but each line will only get half a signal. I.E. A deck with a 3 volt output split with a Y will only give each line 1.5 volts. Your best option would be to get a new deck that has two outputs or to get an Equalizer that will give you more outputs and boost the signal.
