life story, in a nut shell: i had bunches of friends in middle school, went to high school...got into drugs. after that, then had the same friends +more "no good" drug addict friends. then announced my engagement about 2 1/2 years ago to a (non drug addict, that i met a work) been married almost a year, and have no friends now. most of my friends at the time were guys. which makes me think they were just acting like my friends to get in my pants. whenever i tried to call them they were always busy.. or you know... but anyway, i'm no longer into drugs of any-kind! and i need a friend (and i work alone so please don't suggest that) and have no idea how to meet people. My husbands friends are cool but i have nothing in common with them. HELP!!

  1. Hmm. Perhaps you should search among your area on the internet (you know, chat sites and things.) But try to keep your personal information and drug history to yourself or at the minimum. Try going to local shops and go daily, such as a coffee shop; maybe you'll make friends with someone working there.

Best of luck, and I'm sorry about your drug history. It's too bad.

  2. You can see if you could meet some on myspace

  3. bbblaaahhhh...

    talk to people

    be very outgoing

    hope i helped

  6. Wow Bubbles tough question but first of all "congrats" for getting out of the drug schene. Drugs are for losers only so it sounds like you have gotten your life together. As for making friends...do you have any hobbies or sports interests??? Are you an introvert or extrovert???? Usually extroverts don,t have many problems meeting people. Have you really gotten into some deep conversations with your hubby,s friends to see if maybe you might have something in common??? How about neighbors???? I just hope you are not feeling all alone coz there are many people looking to meet someone new or to have something in common with. Sometimes it just takes that first "leap" to connect. Good luck, be happy. If ya wanna talk send me an e-mail <S>
