There is a plant (could be a baby tree, or a weed, I don't know) in my back yard that keeps growing and is insanely invasive. I can't identify it though to tell the best course of action for eradicating it.
Here's the best description I can give it:
It grows on a green stem with little red dots on it. It's very solitary in how it grows. Just one big stem with broad leaves growing off of it. I have a ~18" tall weed in my hand right now, and the leaves at the top are approximately 3" wide and 3" long in a soft arrowhead pattern. The stems the leaves are growing off of are red near the base where they grow off the plant, and fade to green as they approach the leaf. There are no hairs on the leaves. They grow incredibly fast (I pulled ALL of them up 2 weeks ago, so this one has grown 18" in 2 weeks.) After being pulled up, when they dry, their stem looks like a big piece of bamboo, only very brittle (as you'd imagine).
They uproot easily, (this 18" plant only had ~3" of root).
