  1. I don't believe there is a survey, but I do suggest that you ask you doctor, don't be afraid to ask,he or she is a doctor and know what to do.

  2. Everyone alive has herpes in their body..it just depends when it's activated by coming into contact with it.

So you might have come into contact with someone who had an outbreak or sometimes the outbreak doesn't have to be visible.

Any herpes virus sometimes stays under the skin but sheds the viral part onto the skin and you cannot see it.

That way you can be infected by just touching or kissing somebody without even knowing it.

If you are worried about it, you can talk to your doctor about getting meds that keep the virus suppressed and you never get an outbreak nor the virus sheds on top of your skin.

  3. I'm assuming they're on your mouth and not your genitals...

If they are on your mouth they are must likely Herpes Type I which is the most common. (Type II is genital but you can get it on your mouth as well from oral s*x, or kissing someone who has type II).

Tons of people get outbreaks on their mouth.  You could have gotten the herpes even as a child from a family member kissing you hello or goodbye.

Take a look at this site.  I think it will really help you:

    http://www.herpes-coldsores.com/cold_sor...

And don't worry, it is very common and can be easily remedied with abreva or herpacin.

If you think it may be Type II or you are concerned, see your doctor while you are having an outbreak so that they can test it.

Blood tests are not very reliable because the majority of people have been exposed to the virus and have subclinical exposures (meaning they have been exposed to the virus and have made antibodies against it but have never and may never have an outbreak).

  4. I think first you should to consult your doctor first...i think may be you have no herpes but different kind of any skin disease...and if you have herpes then there are so many prescription medicine available in the market like Acyclovir, Valtrex, Aldara for treatment of herpes...
